hmm, what have i been doing these few days? been spending time with children at home. Time passes so fast with 3 kids. when they wake up, it's breakfast, then bathe, then soon after lunch. after lunch, it's usually max's nap time. This is the time when i give attention to marcus and mabel. especially mabel. she helped me with my facials, we talked about things together.

then when max wake up, in the afternoon, it's usually a stroll around the neighbourhood with the kids. then dinner time, then it's couch potatoe in front of the television. soon after it will be bedtime. so for the past few days, things has been like this.

on friday, we sneak out when max is taking his afternoon nap. we went to vivo for some food, then to brewerkz for happy hour. evening time, my mum came to have dinner with us as i'm giving one maid to her to help her with her housework. On my side, i need to cut down expenses, on the other hand, my mum really needs some domestic help, so the least i can do is to pass her one of the maid, instead of sending her back home. Will get the documents done this coming week.

so on friday, the maid and mabel went home with my mum. mabel is staying over at my mum's place because she wanted to attend a church wedding with my mum. on sunday evening, when we meet mum for dinner, then we'll bring her back.

i juz called my mum to see how's the progress. my mum says that everything is ok.

how to cope with one maid less? do the housework myself. Marcus and mabel should also learnt to be less dependent on the maid. It's a good trying time for them. like this morning, marcus and max helped me with some of the housework like cleaning the table and stuff. well, they enjoyed most of it.

so i guess, the children will be able to cope. the adults should be able to cope as well.

As you can see, max snapped a lot of pictures on my handphone

removing the floor laminate

In this gloomy time, need to do something to spruce up the home, so on saturday, we remove all the floor laminate to the bedrooms. Some of the the before and after pictures that i try to capture.

This is before:

and this is after: (pardon the vacuum cleaner)

some pics of work in progress:

The removing of the laminate is not difficult, it's the glue that the previous owner used that was difficult to remove. for example, we took less than 15 mins to remove the floor laminate to a whole room, but it took us hours to remove the glue from the sides of the wall.

so after 12 hours of hard work, with a lunch and dinner break in between:

until now, my leg and arm muscles are still aching from all the squatting and scraping
