U know, as a young kid, we used to ask many questions until the adults ask us to stop asking so many questions. That's when we learn to shut up.

Them in sch, they are encouraging pri sch kid to speak up, but in sec sch, not so pervasive. That's also when u learn to shut up. Becos by asking too many questions, u are too talkative.

As an adult, subtly u learn to shut up. Dun ask so many questions, dun say too much, the more u say, the more u do, so u juz leant to shut up.

Then when u die, that's when u shut up forever.

How cool can this be? In my haste today, I kicked a box and I think my 4th toe is broken. How 'cool'?

Sigh. I agree I'm clumsy, no doubts.

Btw it's 28 June. RIP Himer, 28 June 2005.

Random thoughts:

1) I like this quote: I dun have a need for underwear. (wink wink)

2) y do some gals wear hot pants, but the top covers their hot pants? Wat is the point? First it looks like they r not wearing any shorts. Second, waste my time to bio at them.

June 18 and 19 2010 Day 13 and 14 of vacation

Had to wake marcus, sis and mabel up in the morning, as in another hour’s time, we had to check out.

We went to the beach for a while and the children played with the sand and later, at the playground.

then we went to go Kings Park and Perth city to take some pictures before going to Uncle Peter’s house.
There was this lovely playground in Kings Park, even I enjoyed myself so much playing at the playground.

nice city view:

Uncle Peter bought some pizza for dinner and he had a cell group meeting to attend. Joshua went out with his friends.

So after dinner, some packing of luggage and sat around the table and had a talk. Talked about many things about the future.

June 19:
finally, it's the day to go back to
Singapore. woke up, get ready to go to the airport. Had some aussie to spend at the airport, anyway, we were early.
one group photo before going back to sg:

June 17 2010 Day 12 of vacation

Left this nice place with much sadness. Even Max looked at the place for one last time with a sad expression as the car drove off.

The ride back to Perth was 406km and hubby was the only one driving. Initially, he wanted to stop but upon seeing that the children were soundly asleep, he decided to carry on the journey. By the time we reached there and checked in, he was really tired.

So, as usual, went supermarket to buy some food, tonight, we had to finish all the food. Sat around the table and had dinner.

It was too cold outside, so only sis went to the balcony to try to catch shooting stars, Hubby also went to balcony and he recorded the sound of the waves. It was a nice place, sitting on the balcony and watching the sky and listening to the waves.

I know sis, marcus and mabel slept very late.

Some pics of Scarborough beach: (initially, 5 years ago when we came, it was a lovely place. Maybe last time, we just came from Hayden, so a place at Scarborough was a bonus. But this time, maybe it was after Peppermint Tree, so we no longer find this place that fantastic anymore.)
The sea is very nearby:

June 16 2010 Day 11 of vacation

Today, we woke up late. Made breakfast. Finally, we all managed to go and see some stones, which initially, according to Marcus was lame.

When we reached the place, we were again struck by the magnificent waves pounding against the rock. The ones that we went to see was ‘the gap’ and ‘the bridge’ which geographically is an arch.

After that, we went to the supermarket to buy our lunch and dinner. Also mabel bought father’s day present.

When we came back, the children helped to make lunch. They marinated some meat, made soup. It was good that they helped out also. They also learnt to lay the table for dinner, washed their own cups.

We have become such expert at using the dishwasher and dryer.

We wanted to bbq for lunch but it started to rain. When the rain stopped, we went to the garage and played table tennis and futball. After this, we cooked dinner. We are getting better at grilling beef, lamp, chicken and kangaroo meat.

The cupcakes that marcus and mabel made. the decoration were done by mabel:

Last night at this place, will thoroughly enjoy this place before we leave tomorrow morning.
Aiya, so contradicting, actually didn't want to blog. Mabel's iPod touch so diff to back up, so while waiting for it, I blog (multi task)

Her iPod touch ended up having to restore. Now re starting, so I will go and sleep after my second post.

Peppermint Tree Holiday House

Before i post Day 11, think should dedicate one post to the accommodation at Albany. This was one of the most luxurious place i have lived in. It was huge and comfortable, really made you feel at home. and considering the size, (ok, this may be subjective) A$300 a night for 3A3C, not too expensive, right? worth it, right?

ok, first, the gate:

then this road into the house:

Then the road on the left leads to the garage and house and the road on the right leads to the back of the house.

The back of the house has this huge tool shed which i think the owner kept all his tools.

Ok, now the house:

there is this stair case that leads up to the door. From where we stand the garage is behind us (you get the picture)

Then there is this great patio just before the door:

To the side of the house, there is this great place for alfresco dining and bbq:

A closer look at the area, there is a door on the left which can be used to go into the house. the windows straight ahead looks into the kitchen:

The living room and dining area: (it is huge)

The living room, btw, he provides some dvds to watch, and his samsung LCD, i think it's bigger than my house's one.

The dining area, the door leads out to the alfresco area:

The kitchen

and that is me, making breakfast. You never see me cook so much in my two years as compared to the whole entire 2 weeks. The window looks out to the alfresco area. and the staircase leads to the laundry room:

This is another living area where max and marcus spend most of their time here because of the playstation:

This staircase ahead leads up to the rooms on the 2nd storey. The door on the right leads to the other bedrooms:

some of the bedrooms and laundry room and bathroom:

Upstairs:
the staircase has windows for natural light to enter:

When u reached the top, you see this balcony that is just right outside the master bedroom:

then there is also this area just before the master bedroom, which is good for sitting down and have drinks:

The master bedroom is huge:

There is this long corridor that interconnects the toilet and straight ahead, there is this door, which leads to yet another room.

The toilet is huge, i was frightened when i was bathing alone at night and all of them were downstairs.

and there we have the Peppermint Tree Holiday House. There are full of peppermint trees surrounding it.
